Join the choir for this wonderful experience
We are excited that Don Grigg has offered to come back to St John's and will be at our choir practice on Thursday, May 30 and the church service on Sunday, June 2 to conduct. We will be preparing 2 anthems. If anyone is interested in joining the choir for this wonderful experience please contact Bonnie. It would involve a commitment of four practices on May 9, 16, 23 and 30 from 7 to 8-30 pm and service on June 2 at 11:15 am.
Annual Parish Picnic takes place on Sunday, June 23rd with an outdoor service at the Rectory, 2 Albert St, Cookstown. Please bring salads and desserts; hot dogs and hamburgers will be supplied. We will meet around 10:30 a.m. Mark your calendars.

Parish Visit by Bishop Andrew Asbil
MARK YOUR CALENDARS! St. Peter's will be hosting a visit by the Right Reverend Bishop Andrew Asbil on Sunday, June 16th for the joint 10:30 a.m. service with St. John's, as Confirmation is celebrated. This is the first time a Diocesan Bishop has visited the parish in 15 years. Please plan to join us and meet Bishop Asbil. Everyone is most welcome to attend.

St. Peter's Soup Sunday is the first Sunday each month unless otherwise advertised. Everyone is welcome to join us. There will be a free will donation basket for those who wish to help support this outreach program, however, a donation is not necessary. Half goes to outreach and half goes to the operating budget. Please stay and enjoy a hot bowl of soup w/bun, dessert, beverage and fellowship.

Weekly Euchre @ St. Peter’s

Confirmation classes will begin Sunday, May 5th at 2 PM until and including, June 2nd at St. Peter’s in the parish hall. These classes will be approximately two hours in duration and will be held every other week. Our Diocesan Bishop, Bishop Andrew, will be at St. Peter’s on June 16th and will preside over a Joint celebration of Confirmation and Eucharist at St. Peter’s Church. Senior’s Luncheon @ St. John’s
The "Senior's Lunch" catered by St John's Church takes place on the 4th Thursday of each month at 12 noon. Lunch is $10. If you would like to come for the next lunch on April 25th, please contact Diane Pettet at 705-458-2723 or email@example.com. She needs to know numbers by April 18th.
