Picture taken Nov. 16th as Christmas for Kids is launched for 2017 in Council Chambers at the Town of Innisfil with Mayor Gord Wauchope and members of the Christmas for Kids team.
We will have a float in the Innisfil Santa Claus Parade on Sunday, Nov.26th beginning at 1:30 p.m. See you there!
Christmas Lunch @ St. John’s : Sun. Dec. 10
To celebrate the upcoming Christmas season, we are organizing a church luncheon on Sunday Dec. 10th after Church (there will be a shorter service on this day to accommodate the lunch). Jean and Bonnie have kindly volunteered to cook the turkey (yum!), and participants are asked to consider bringing a side. Please contact Jean Reynolds (705-294-0085), who is organizing the dishes, to ensure that we have enough variety for a wonderful feast. Guests & extended family are very welcome to join in.
Soup Sunday @ St. Peter’s
St. Peter's offers a Soup Sunday the 1st Sunday each month. We offer soup (sometimes chili), rolls, beverages and sweets. A donation basket is available if you wish to make a contribution. All money goes toward outreach to help those in need. There is no Soup Sunday in December but it will return on January 7th. Thanks to Judy Martin and Mike Hogg for heading up this great program.
Free Community Turkey Dinner
St. Peter's on Friday, Dec. 1st, 5-7 p.m. FREE Community Turkey Dinner and all the trimmings. Wheelchair accessible at side door. All welcome. We are kid friendly. Contact 705-436-9769 for further info. No tickets necessary.

Monthly Lunch @ St. John’s
This monthly lunch for seniors, run by St. John's, takes place on the 4th Thursday. Cost is $8/person and all seniors are welcome to join us. 29 Church Street, Cookstown. Thursday, November 23rd Senior’s Lunch: The Next "Senior's Lunch" catered by St John's Church is on Thursday, Nov. 23 at 12 noon. Lunch is $8 and will be a turkey dinner with all the trimmings. If you would like to come for lunch please contact Diane Pettet at 705-458-2723 or email@example.com. Diane needs to know numbers attending by Sunday, Nov. 19.

Update on Khalid and Omar
Khalid & Omar continue to get oriented to our community and familiarizing themselves with the Canadian way of life. Thank you again to everyone for all your support of this family and all the local churches efforts towards this program. It would not be happening without your help! Khalid and Omar are now living in an apartment in Barrie, nearer to work and learning centre. If you have questions, please call the office at 705-458-1801.
