Homemade soup (sometimes chili), buns, beverages and dessert will be served. There will be a good will offering basket for those who wish to make a donation. Proceeds will be used to help in the community. Everyone is welcome to join us. If you have any questions, please speak to either Judy Martin or Mike Hogg. We thank you for your participation in this outreach project. We will begin our soup Sundays in September 2018.
Calling New Choir Members
If you love to sing, the choir needs you!! No formal choir experience necessary. Practice is after service on Sundays. Please speak to Jean Zielke our organist, if you are interested or talk with any of the choir members. We would love to have you join us.
The selection committee elected at the September 10th Vestry meeting will be Karen Lewis,
Mike Burrows, Judy Martin and Myrlene Boken, we ask that you keep the selection committee in your prayers. Update: the church profiles have been accepted by the Bishop; there will be a further meeting at the end of May to choose questions and then names will be given for selection. The process takes time and we thank one and all for their patience.
St.Peter’s New Walkway
We would like to thank Mr. Elliott of Sargeant concrete for his generous donation and delivery of concrete that was used to repair our church’s front entrance ramp on July 31, 2017. We are so appreciative of this gift, and for the driver’s patience as we moved the concrete.
Our church building is over 155 years old and so there is always a lot of upkeep. This past winter saw some notable deterioration of a concrete walkway at the main entrance. It became a safety priority as many people require accessibility to the building, and the existing ramp had crumbled. Our church enjoys a broad spectrum of regular attendees, and so ensuring safe passage and access is of critical importance to us.
Our church provides weekly worship and programs, but also supports many community outreach projects. Keeping our maintenance costs as low as possible, allows us to optimize our service to the Innisfil community. Your generous support has helped immensely with our goal.
Our largest community program is the “Innisfil Christmas for Kids” which started over 20 years ago at St. Peters. This program has grown to include other area churches, businesses, and individual sponsors. Collectively, we supported over 70 families this past Christmas – with food, clothing, personal care items, and children’s presents. We also provide assistance year round to families, through food drives, provision of school supplies, family crisis assistance, and refugee sponsorship.
On behalf of the St. Peter’s congregation, we are sincerely appreciative of your support.
Warm Regards, John Alksnis, People's Warden, St. Peter's.

Cemetery By-Laws (St. Peter’s Cemetery Board)
Two historical documents were dedicated at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Churchill, Ontario by the Reverend Matthew McMillan. The first is a three-ringed binder of census, births, marriages and death information about the Reverend Canon Morgan and his family. He planted nine Anglican churches in the Barrie area, St. Peter’s being one of them. The second is a three-ringed binder of census, births, marriages and death records for all the clergy who have served at St. Peters from 1856 to the present day. The binders are presented in gratitude for all the years of selfless service to the Anglican Church. The two binders were researched and presented to the archives by George Leggett, who worked endless hours compiling the information.
